Indirect Tax Specialist | Bunge Iberica SA

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Indirect Tax Specialist to join our team at Bunge Iberica SA. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely submission of VAT declarations and returns for all EU VAT registrations entities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and resolve issues found in the VAT reconciliation and compliance process.
  • Ensure VAT, Intrastat, and ESL are reported correctly and timely for the assigned VAT registrations.
  • Prepare and submit VAT declarations in a secure online environment.
  • Collaborate with the cash team to ensure accurate and timely payments.
  • Perform VAT reconciliations and work with the Accounts Payable team and Execution teams to ensure correct VAT treatment of transactions.
  • Provide training to internal departments to enhance their VAT knowledge and ensure the company's VAT compliance status.
  • Offer guidance on ad hoc VAT issues.
  • Support the Indirect Tax Team with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Assist the local Tax managers in handling external VAT Audits and queries.
  • Participate in projects to improve the VAT compliance process.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience as an Indirect Tax Specialist.
  • 3+ years of professional practice in multinational companies.
  • Fluent in Spanish and English; German is a plus.
  • Significant experience in accounting and knowledge of European VAT rules and regulations.
  • Numerical and analytical skills, along with system knowledge (SAP, SAP S/4 HANA).
