KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are seeking a dedicated Retail Store Construction Project Coordinator who will report to the Head of Construction & Maintenance and collaborate closely with the Iberia Director.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Conducting site assessments for new openings and renovation projects.
- Drafting project briefs for each new site while identifying potential constraints to initiate the store design phase.
- Collaborating with the Global Store Design team to ensure that final plans reflect site-specific details and comply with local regulations.
- Overseeing the tendering process and selection of general contractors.
- Developing project timelines and communicating them to all stakeholders.
- Managing and tracking project timelines within budgetary limits.
- Fostering strong relationships with suppliers and external partners.
- Identifying, communicating, and managing all project-related issues and risks.
- Providing regular project updates to relevant departments to ensure timely completion.
- Evaluating vendor performance throughout the construction phase.
- Reporting on project progress at all stages to the team manager and internal stakeholders.
- Facilitating the transition of new stores to the retail team.
- Leading post-project evaluations to refine and enhance existing processes.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
- A technical degree in civil engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in a retail construction role, ideally within a fast-paced retail environment.
- Comprehensive project management experience with a solid understanding of the entire project lifecycle, from contractor engagement to project handover.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and structured in approach.
- Proficient in Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills; operational English is required, and knowledge of French or Portuguese is advantageous.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while adhering to budget constraints.
- Creative problem-solving skills to address complex challenges.
