About Our Opportunity
We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Investment Accounting Associate Director to join our team in an important role for the business in 2024 and beyond. As a key member of our Investment Management team, you will play a crucial part in delivering investment accounting and reporting information to our internal clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation of financial statements and reports for our different asset classes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with globally accepted accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the quality assurance process for quarterly variance analysis supporting group IFRS reporting, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Develop and maintain analytic reports, including comments for CIOs and CFOs, to provide insights and recommendations for business decisions.
- Resolve operational day-to-day problems referred from other functions, ensuring an efficient and high-quality service when providing procedural advice and/or information.
- Coordinate the balance sheet reconciliation process in accordance with group internal control guidelines, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Your Skills and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in accounting or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of investment products, including insurance accounting matters.
- At least 5 years of experience in a related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial reporting and analysis.
- Excellent understanding of finance and accounting operations, including IFRS and local globally accepted accounting principles.
- Fluent written and spoken German and English.
