About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Accounting Expert to join our team at Zurich Australian Insurance. As an Associate Director, you will be part of a global Change Delivery team implementing changes related to our core system in a standardized and efficient way.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as the Investment Accounting expert in the Change Delivery team, providing input, insights, and expertise related to accounting changes implemented within the team.
  2. Serve as the liaison between the project team and Business Analysts for specific topic expertise.
  3. Analyze changes arriving from Group stakeholders or service units impacting financial statements (Chart of Accounts, measurement, disclosure, reporting).
  4. Ensure a smooth handover and transition of new procedures to the business as usual in the Servicing team / Capability.
  5. Consider industry standards and technology solutions which minimize impacts/limitations from an end-user perspective.
  6. Review and approve process changes, lead communication to drive the change, and oversee adaptation across all delivery teams.
  7. Drive standardization and automation to any extent feasible, measure progress and performance by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  8. Develop and maintain functional training, using modern knowledge tools, and documentation standards to fasten onboarding of new staff.
  9. Deputize other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) functions on operational duties such as transaction processing, position reconciliation, and cash clearance.

Requirements:

  1. Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or equivalent postgraduate studies (e.g., Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)).
  2. Over 5 years of experience in investment accounting or audit in a senior role overseeing financial statements and data preparation.
