We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Investment Accounting Expert to join our team at Zurich 56 Company Ltd. As an Associate Director, you will play a key role in implementing changes related to our core system in a standardized and efficient way.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the Investment Accounting expert in the Change Delivery team, providing input, insights, and expertise related to accounting changes implemented within the team.
- Act as the liaison between the project team and Business Process experts for specific topic expertise.
- Analyze changes arriving from Group stakeholders or service units impacting financial statements (Chart of Accounts, measurement, disclosure, reporting).
- Ensure smooth handover and transition of new procedures to the business as usual in the Operations team.
- Consider industry standards and technology solutions to minimize impacts/limitations from an end-user perspective.
- Review and approve process changes, lead communication to drive the change, and oversee adaptation across all delivery teams.
- Promote and direct the Accounting community, chapter, squad.
- Drive standardization and automation, measure progress and performance by Key Performance Indicators.
- Develop and maintain functional training, using modern knowledge tools and documentation standards to fasten onboarding of new staff.
- Deputize other Subject Matter Expert functions on operational duties such as transaction processing, position reconciliation, cash clearance, and automation routines.
- Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or equivalent postgraduate studies (e.g., Certified Financial Analyst, Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants).
- More than 5 years of experience in investment accounting or audit in a senior role overseeing Financial Statements and data preparation, including result analysis.
- Experience with Subledger & General ledger systems/processes (SAP Financial Accounting and Materials Management would be an advantage).
- Knowledge of financial instruments accounting standards (e.g., International Financial Reporting Standards 9 or similar).
- Understanding of Financial markets, products, risks, regulations.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Analytical and conceptual thinking/transformation abilities.
- Experience managing or leading 3-5 mid-size projects or optimization initiatives in Financial or Investment Accounting/Controlling.
- Fluent in English (written and oral proficiency).
- Good base understanding of financial mathematics.
- IT affinity is a plus.
- Conceptual working, process design, storytelling skills.
