We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Investment Accounting Expert to join our team at Zurich Australian Insurance. As an Associate Director, you will be part of a global Change Delivery team implementing changes related to our core system in a standardized and efficient way.
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the Investment Accounting expert in the Change Delivery team, providing input, insights, and expertise related to accounting changes implemented within the team.
- Serve as the liaison between the project team and Business Analysts for specific topic expertise.
- Analyze changes arriving from Group stakeholders or service units impacting financial statements (Chart of Accounts, measurement, disclosure, reporting).
- Ensure a smooth handover and transition of new procedures to the business as usual in the Servicing team / Capability.
- Consider industry standards and technology solutions which minimize impacts/limitations from an end-user perspective.
- Review and approve process changes, lead communication to drive the change, and oversee adaptation across all delivery teams.
- Drive standardization and automation to any extent feasible, measure progress and performance by Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Develop and maintain functional training, using modern knowledge tools, and documentation standards to fasten onboarding of new staff.
- Deputize other Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) functions on operational duties such as transaction processing, position reconciliation, and cash clearance.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or equivalent postgraduate studies (e.g., Certified Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA)).
- Over 5 years of experience in investment accounting or audit in a senior role overseeing financial statements and data preparation.
