Data Center Facility Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Facility Engineer to join our Engineering and Facilities team at Amazon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our electrical and mechanical infrastructure in our Data Centers (DCs) in the AWS Cloud regions.
Your primary focus will be on ensuring the availability and reliability of our technical infrastructure, as well as the upkeep and operation of our DC facilities. You will work closely with our Engineering and Facilities team to maintain a high level of operational excellence and ensure that our customers receive the best possible service.
To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering, as well as experience in leading and managing operations of critical facilities. You should also be proficient in Microsoft Office products and applications, and have a City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
We are looking for a motivated and self-managed individual who can demonstrate initiative and proactively seek solutions to problems. You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities and be willing to learn new processes and adapt to rapidly changing operational scenarios.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of electrical and mechanical infrastructure in our Data Centers
- Ensure the availability and reliability of our technical infrastructure
- Maintain a high level of operational excellence
- Work closely with the Engineering and Facilities team to ensure the upkeep and operation of our DC facilities
Requirements:
- Strong background in electrical and mechanical engineering
- Experience in leading and managing operations of critical facilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products and applications
- City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
