About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Operations Technician to join our team at Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L. This is a critical role that requires a strong technical background and excellent problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facility Operations: Assist in the operation and maintenance of all electrical, mechanical, and HVAC equipment within the Data Center/Facility, ensuring better than 99.999% uptime.
  2. System Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor and troubleshoot all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems, voice/data, chiller systems, and generators to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Collaboration and Support: Provide assistance to contractors or data center engineers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of all facility equipment, and deploy new equipment as necessary.
  4. Site Walkthroughs and Audits: Perform site walkthroughs to verify proper operation of Facility Equipment and Monitoring Systems, and identify areas for improvement.
Competencies and Qualifications
  1. Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Demonstrate the ability to solve problems through root-cause elimination, and troubleshoot complex issues.
  2. Technical Expertise: Possess a strong understanding of data center engineering principles, and be able to maintain service level agreements (SLAs) through proactive issue detection and immediate response.
  3. Communication and Collaboration: Demonstrate good judgment and instincts in decision making, and be able to prioritize appropriately in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  4. Education and Experience: Hold a high school or equivalent diploma, and have experience in data center engineering (preferred).
