Project Overview

We are seeking a skilled Extremaduran language specialist to participate in a unique project aimed at preserving the Extremaduran language by collecting high-quality audio data and transcribing it to train AI models for voice recognition.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Follow project guidelines to create accurate and clear audio recordings in Extremaduran.
  2. Transcribe the audio recordings following our guidelines and quality standards.
  3. Use provided questions to respond and create a variety of audio content in Extremaduran.
  4. Ensure recordings are of high quality by following technical and environmental standards.

Project Details

We will provide a list of prompts/questions for you to use when making audio recordings. Your task is to answer questions in Extremaduran while recording your responses. Depending on your skills, you may also transcribe these recordings or review the quality of other recordings and transcriptions.

Requirements

  1. Fully proficient in Extremaduran and the most commonly spoken language in your region.
  2. English proficiency: ability to understand instructions and communication.
  3. Follow instructions: must be able to understand and follow recording instructions.
  4. Basic technical skills: familiarity with recording equipment or software.
  5. Reliable equipment: access to a microphone, can be a phone microphone.
  6. Quiet environment: ensure clear audio recordings free from background noise.
  7. Time commitment: ability to commit the necessary time to complete the required recordings.
