The Marketing Automation Specialist at Cognizant Netcentric plays a pivotal role in the design, development, and execution of sophisticated marketing automation initiatives utilizing Marketo. This position demands a profound comprehension of marketing technologies, a strategic outlook, and the capability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders to enhance marketing campaigns and refine lead management processes. You will lead a team focused on Marketo and oversee backlog management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Development: Formulate and execute extensive marketing automation strategies leveraging Marketo to align with the organization's marketing objectives.
  • System Design: Architect and sustain the Marketo framework, ensuring seamless integration with other platforms such as CRM, CMS, analytics, and third-party tools.
  • Campaign Oversight: Manage the conception, execution, and enhancement of marketing campaigns, encompassing email marketing, lead nurturing, lead scoring, and multi-channel marketing efforts.
  • Data Oversight: Guarantee data accuracy and quality within Marketo and associated systems, manage database segmentation, and assist with data migration initiatives.
  • Performance Analytics: Create and maintain reports and dashboards to assess campaign performance, offering insights and recommendations to enhance marketing efficiency.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders: Partner closely with marketing, sales, IT, and external vendors to ensure marketing automation processes align with business needs and goals.
  • Training and Guidance: Provide training and support to marketing teams on best practices for utilizing Marketo, while keeping abreast of the latest Marketo features and industry developments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all marketing activities adhere to relevant regulations and best practices, including GDPR, CAN-SPAM, and other data privacy standards.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Economics, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project management within a data-driven campaign management or marketing automation platform (e.g., Adobe Campaign, Marketo, HCL Unica, Oracle Eloqua, SAS MA, Emarsys, etc.).
  • Basic knowledge of and experience with relational databases.
  • Strong analytical skills that facilitate problem-solving and data-driven insights.
  • A solid affinity for working with numerical data and spreadsheets.
  • Experience in international projects and collaboration with remote teams.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • A customer-oriented mindset.
  • Proficiency in English (both verbal and written).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and/or JavaScript.
  • Experience with task management and bug tracking tools such as JIRA.
  • Proficient in wiki-based documentation tools, e.g., Confluence.
  • Additional language skills, particularly in German or Spanish, are advantageous.
  • Eligibility to work within the EU and/or Switzerland.
