Load Calculation Engineer for Field Support

Job Summary:
Nordex Group is seeking a highly skilled Load Calculation Engineer for Field Support to join our team. As a key member of our field support team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers and ensuring the smooth operation of our wind turbines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support root cause analysis for any general field issue, actively searching for not only causes but also applicable solutions in a short-term and cost-effective way.
- Perform related load calculations for site-specific conditions.
- Document results and their assessment in technical reports.
- Support during certification or claims-related tasks.
- Optimize controller functions as well as support in the design of different components in a multidisciplinary team.
- Work on projects according to the Nordex project management system.
- Support the continuous development and improvement of the toolchain and methodologies based on feedback provided by on-field situations.
Requirements:
- M.Sc. or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering/Physics or similar with specialization in dynamics and simulation.
- Complementary training or formation complementaria.
- Knowledge of recognized standards such as IEC.
- Professional experience with aerodynamic simulation tools such as Bladed, Alaska, HawcStab, Flex5.
- Good knowledge of dynamic simulations of complex systems in an industrial application as well as for fatigue analysis methodologies, focused on field-supporting topics like troubleshooting issues on field, analysis of complex phenomena, etc.
- Optional additional skills in general analysis software (MATLAB, R...), structural mechanics, or usage of automation tools.
- Profile/Perfil: flexibility and dynamism in the execution of tasks, ability to work as a team, transverse communication.
- Fluent in English. Ideally skills in Spanish and German.
- 5 years of experience in similar roles/functions.
- Availability to travel.
