Job Summary:

Nordex Group is seeking an experienced Aerodynamics Engineer to join our team in the field of wind turbine rotor blade design. As an Aerodynamics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, evaluating, and optimizing wind turbine rotor blades to improve their performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop aerodynamic models for wind turbine rotor blades using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) tools and software.
  • Evaluate and optimize the performance of wind turbine rotor blades using CFD simulations and experimental data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new aerodynamic design concepts and technologies.
  • Develop and maintain in-house tool chains and programming scripts to automate workflows and improve design efficiency.
  • Support and plan aerodynamic measurement campaigns, including wind tunnel and field measurements.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in aerodynamics and wind turbine design.
  • Strong technical knowledge of aerodynamics, fluid dynamics, and computational methods.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C/C++, and MATLAB.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent English language skills.
  • Spanish, German, or other language skills a plus.
