We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Counsel, Commercial Transactions Specialist to join our team at TD SYNNEX. As a key member of our global legal services team, you will play a critical role in supporting the business of the organization by leading the regional Transaction team.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the regional Transaction team and manage legal issues with a focus on trade practices in IT distribution.
- Counsel and advise management on legal problems in the transactional law area and work closely with local management teams to provide training and guidance.
- Participate in or conduct negotiations and transactions on behalf of TD SYNNEX and assist in the defense of the organization in legal action.
- Support legal compliance activities focused on the mentioned area.
What You'll Do
- Play an active role as a member of the global legal services team, providing input in the development of policies and implementing initiatives and directives within the Country organization.
- Advises on legal aspects of TD SYNNEX's business within the country using sound legal and business judgment and experience with a focus on contract/transactional law.
- Collaborate or cooperate with local management team, global legal services team, and outside legal counsel in various matters.
- Communicate and interact regularly with business clients and global legal services team to deliver high-value added legal services.
- Set work priorities, productivity goals, and provide strong customer service focus.
- Advise direct reports and supervise their daily operational work.
- Provide training focused on contract/transactional matters for internal clients.
- Assist with the preparation or review of proposed contracts and other legal instruments to safeguard the organization's interests.
Requirements
- Qualified and admitted to the practice of law in the UK.
- Qualified legal degree from a certified educational institution required.
- Minimum of 5+ years in the practice of commercial/corporate law required or in-house experience in transactional work.
- Preference for in-house experience.
- Able to write clear and logical legal briefs, reports, and other documents.
- Able to work effectively in a multi-tasking environment.
- Able to work constructively under stress and pressure.
- Able to build solid, effective working relationships with others.
- Able to coach others in the development of their skills.
- Able to negotiate persuasively and effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
