About the Position

This role reports to the VP Sales and Marketing OEM and is responsible for driving business-to-business (B2B) sales of OEM products and R&D services to existing and new customers.

Key Accountabilities
  • Deliver sales and gross profit targets for assigned customers.
  • Contribute to the development of the three-year strategic plan for the area of responsibility.
  • Provide input to the budget for the area of responsibility.
  • Monitor and report year-to-date deviations, and develop recovery plans as needed.
  • Provide regular three-month rolling sales forecasts and year-to-go sales updates.
  • Keep the sales funnel up-to-date.
  • Collaborate with R&D/Operations and RA/QA to lead the core team for assay development and biomaterials/bulk customized services for assigned customers.
  • Lead the full quotation process internally.
  • Be responsible for searching contact persons and maintaining an updated database, including influencers and decision-makers in targeted accounts.
  • Attend trade shows to update business meetings, generate new leads, evaluate competitors' sales strategies, and identify new markets and customer opportunities.
  • Contribute to advertising, promotion materials, company presentations, and web information related to OEM services, bulk reagents, and biomaterials.
  • Negotiate contracts.
  • Lead and coordinate quarterly review meetings/steering committee meetings with assigned accounts.
  • Attend internal meetings, including monthly 1-to-1 meetings with the direct manager, SAM meetings, and sales and coordination meetings.
Networking/Key Relationships

This position requires interaction with the Sales and Marketing team and cross-functional collaboration with various stakeholders at Werfen OEM and Werfen Corporate.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience Required
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (business and science).
  • Experience: Professional experience is required, ideally 10 years in a similar position.
  • Additional Skills/Knowledge: Proficiency in Office Tools (Excel & Word), SAP, fluency in Spanish or Catalan, and advanced knowledge of English (reading and speaking).
