Overview

This role is pivotal within the Sales and Marketing team, reporting directly to the VP of Sales and Marketing OEM.

Position Summary

The individual in this position will oversee business-to-business (B2B) sales of OEM products and research and development services. The focus will be on nurturing relationships with existing clients while also expanding the customer base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales targets and gross profit goals for assigned clients.
  • Contribute to the development of a three-year strategic plan for the designated area.
  • Assist in formulating the budget for the respective responsibilities.
  • Monitor year-to-date performance and adjust recovery plans as necessary.
  • Provide a rolling three-month sales forecast and updates on year-to-go sales.
  • Maintain an up-to-date sales pipeline.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Operations, and Regulatory Affairs/Quality Assurance teams on projects related to assay development and customized services.
  • Manage the quotation process internally.
  • Take full responsibility for maintaining an updated database of key contacts, including decision-makers across various departments.
  • Participate in trade shows to conduct business meetings, generate leads, assess competitor strategies, and explore new market opportunities.
  • Offer insights for promotional materials, company presentations, and online content related to OEM services.
  • Negotiate contracts effectively.
  • Lead quarterly review meetings with key accounts as necessary.
  • Engage in regular internal meetings, including one-on-one sessions with the direct manager and team coordination meetings.

Networking and Key Relationships

This role necessitates collaboration with the entire Sales and Marketing team and cross-functional partnerships with stakeholders in:

  • Werfen OEM (including R&D, Operations, Quality Assurance, and Finance)
  • Werfen Corporate (Legal Department)

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience: A minimum of 10 years of professional experience in a similar role is preferred.
  • Skills: Proficiency in Office Tools (Excel & Word) and familiarity with SAP is essential. Fluency in Spanish or Catalan and advanced English skills (reading and speaking) are required. Knowledge of the IVD market and competitive dynamics is advantageous.

Travel Requirements
