Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Market Access Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and executing market access projects to enable and improve access of innovative therapeutic solutions for structural heart disease and advanced critical care technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Market Access Project Leadership
    • Lead and work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to create new therapeutic / device charge codes, obtain pricing approval, and obtain reimbursement approval.
    • Develop and plan market access projects and activities with accountability for successful completion of all project deliverables.
  • Government Relations
    • Actively participate in industry groups to maintain dialogue with provincial government and influence policy formulation and implementation.
    • Build and maintain a good relationship with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and healthcare-related authorities.
  • Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification
    • Develop local market access opportunities in collaboration with the sales team.
    • Identify and evaluate market access process improvement and / or course correction / course alignment opportunities.
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, years of previous related experience Required or
    • Master's Degree or equivalent in a related field, 8 years of previous related experience Required and
    • Experience in government relations, sales, tendering or pricing, reimbursement function, regulatory in multinational pharmaceutical or medical device companies Required
  • Additional Skills
    • Ability to work in a remote team environment
    • Self-motivated, result-oriented, problem solver with strong ownership and leadership skills.
    • Strong communication and influencing skills, able to work in a matrix environment and to work with governmental officials.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English required; Ability to speak local language(s) preferred
    • Proven successful project management skills
    • Proven expertise in both Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint systems
    • Recognized as an expert in government policies with specialized depth within the organization
    • Expert understanding of related aspects of pricing & reimbursement processes
    • Expert understanding of the healthcare industry
    • Strict attention to detail
    • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
    • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
    • Represents leadership on projects within a specific area interfacing with project managers and cross-functional teams
    • Consult in a project setting within Market Access
    • Ability to build good relationships with KOLs and Healthcare related authorities
    • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of the environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence / control
