**About Us**
Window World of New Hampshire & Southern Maine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing team. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of our residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure that our community follows all federal, state, and local laws and regulations as it pertains to clinical care.
- Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends, and if necessary, develop/implement improvement plans.
- Partner with the Executive Director and other team members to analyze and maintain all resident and team member health safety.
- Partner with the pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
- Responsible for clinical expertise of licensed nurses.
- Assist with educational presentations as assigned by the administrator.
- Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through the evaluation/Service Plan process including documentation for residents with a change in health care status.
- Responsible for overseeing the completion of the monthly updates and reporting any pertinent changes to the responsible party.
- Partner with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss potential change in service/medication levels if applicable.
- Ensure the resident's service plan is updated as indicated by state regulations.
- Participate in community awareness activities and community relations.
- Maintain communications with resident's family and/or responsible party regarding changes in care or health concerns.
- Inform the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs, if applicable.
- Ensure adequate clinical supplies are available.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and will be on call for staff accordingly.
- Must be willing to work on the floor when needed.
Requirements
- Maintains current state license as a Licensed Professional Nurse or a Professional Registered Nurse per state regulations.
- Experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care industries.
- Two (2) years experience as a Licensed Nurse.
- One (1) year nursing management experience.
- Must demonstrate competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow up, and triage.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office and ability to learn new applications.
- Must demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population.
