**Job Summary**
Starling At Nocatee Assisted Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our healthcare team. As a key member of our management team, the Director of Nursing will be responsible for providing overall leadership and management of the health and well-being of our residents.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure that our community follows all federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to clinical care.
- Collect, analyze, and report occurrence trends, and develop/implement improvement plans as necessary.
- Partner with the Executive Director and other team members to analyze and maintain resident and team member health and safety.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy consultant to provide optimal pharmaceutical services to residents.
- Provide clinical expertise to licensed nurses and assist with educational presentations as assigned.
- Identify ongoing needs and services of residents through the evaluation/Service Plan process, including documentation for residents with a change in healthcare status.
- Oversee the completion of monthly updates and report any pertinent changes to the responsible party.
- Partner with other department coordinators to identify, review, and discuss potential changes in service/medication levels, if applicable.
- Ensure that resident service plans are updated as indicated by state regulations.
- Participate in community awareness activities and community relations.
- Maintain communication with residents' families and/or responsible parties regarding changes in care or health concerns.
- Inform the Business Office of fee changes related to care needs, if applicable.
- Ensure adequate clinical supplies are available.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule and be available to staff accordingly.
- Be willing to work on the floor when needed.
**Qualifications**
- Maintain current state licensure as a Licensed Professional Nurse or a Professional Registered Nurse, per state regulations.
- Experience in assisted living, home health, or long-term care industries.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Licensed Nurse.
- One (1) year of nursing management experience.
- Demonstrate competence in assessment skills, injections/medication administration, follow-up, and triage.
- Proficiency in computer skills, Microsoft Office, and ability to learn new applications.
- Demonstrate an interest in working with a senior population.
