About the Role

The Global Account Manager will be responsible for deepening Canonical's engagement with large multinational customers. This involves ensuring that clients consider Canonical for Hybrid Cloud initiatives and projects, and building a significant partnership with the client at both the executive and DevOps/Infrastructure levels.

The ideal candidate will take a leadership approach to selling and engagement strategy, finding and closing opportunities. They will be able to think outside the box and quickly gain trusted advisor status, representing Canonical's unique value proposition and brand with the customer.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Earn the trust of clients to land and grow projects that drive revenue and build strong partnerships.
  2. Take ownership of customer requirements and work across teams to drive successful outcomes.
  3. Stay up-to-date on the Hybrid, Edge, Private, and Public Cloud market.
  4. Understand the legacy and open-source infrastructure stack.
  5. Have experience working with global customers to drive successful technology projects internationally.
  6. Develop customer education programs to drive awareness and build competence.
  7. Provide leadership for customers and large virtual teams.
  8. Excellent communication skills in English and German.
