Position Overview
Join our UAT QA team at Verisk, where you will play a pivotal role in the Technology Operations Implementation process. You will be responsible for overseeing UAT and QA tasks, ensuring that our testing processes are robust and effective.
This role requires expertise in developing and refining test cases, automation techniques, and conducting thorough quality assurance evaluations in collaboration with our teams across various locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Innovate and enhance the methodologies for creating, maintaining, and executing UAT test cases.
  • Develop comprehensive test scenarios and manage extensive test data within UAT.
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects to ensure timely delivery.
  • Execute test cases to validate software builds, new functionalities, and more.
  • Provide certification and approval for user stories and software releases.
  • Maintain a meticulous approach to both manual and automated testing processes.
  • Identify, document, and monitor defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
  • Actively participate in agile team activities, including stand-ups and retrospectives.
  • Manage time effectively to meet critical project deadlines.
  • Prioritize tasks independently and demonstrate self-motivation.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing methodologies and processes for improved efficiency.
Required Qualifications

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Educational background in IT or Computer Science.
  • Proficient in analyzing large datasets to detect anomalies and inconsistencies.
  • Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Lifecycle.
  • Previous experience as a QA Analyst within a technology-driven environment.
  • Hands-on UAT experience, particularly in data analytics and back-end testing.
  • Quick learner with adaptability to various Testing Methodologies and Tools.
  • Strong advocate for Quality Assurance principles and Best Testing Practices.
  • Collaborative team player with the ability to work with both local and remote teams.
  • Self-driven and capable of meeting strict deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Solid understanding of Project Life Cycle and Agile methodologies.
  • Proficient in using Jira for task management and tracking.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.

Additional Preferred Experience:

  • Familiarity with SQL and programming languages such as C#, Java, or Python.
  • Experience in creating automation scripts using tools like JMeter, Postman, or Python/JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of Confluence, TFS, Cucumber, Playwright, Soap UI, Postman, MS Access, and Excel.
  • Understanding of the insurance industry.
  • Experience with API testing.
