About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts Manager to join our team at Sungrow - EMEA. As a key member of our Legal and Contracts Department, you will be responsible for negotiating, drafting, and overseeing commercial contracts related to our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Management: Support the Contracts function on activities in PV and ESS Business Unit in Spain and other countries in the region as required.
  • Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Review, draft, qualify, and negotiate various types of contractual documentation, including framework agreements, sales contracts, General Terms & Conditions, purchasing agreements, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, and letters of intent.
  • Risk Management: Identify risks and deviations from Sungrow's contracting principles and obtain senior management approval where necessary.
  • Contract Qualifications: Prepare and negotiate contractual qualifications with new and existing clients.
  • Contract Summaries: Prepare contract and risk summaries to ensure that all relevant project personnel are aware of contractual obligations, risks, and objectives.
  • Dispute Resolution: Negotiate to resolution contractual and financial disputes on live projects, consulting with and advising Commercial managers.
  • Policy and Procedure Adherence: Maintain and adhere to all relevant policies, processes, and procedures contained within Sungrow's Business Management System.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree educated in Law or relevant Business-related qualification.
  • Industry Experience: PV, Energy Storage, and Gas and/or Construction industry experience.
  • Commercial Acumen: Commercially focused with a sound knowledge of Contract Law and the ability to draft in a legal / contractual context.
  • Team Player: Experience working within a Contracts or Legal department.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships at all levels and translate to a non-legal audience.
  • Credibility and Professionalism: Demonstrates credibility and professionalism at all times.
  • Negotiation and Influence: Can engage, influence, and negotiate at all levels with stakeholders.
  • Pro-Active Approach: Pro-active with a solutions-based approach, and the ability to constructively challenge and be challenged.
  • Initiative and Ownership: Ability to demonstrate initiative and ownership, and work within a multi-disciplined team.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail orientated with excellent analytical skills.
  • Language Skills: Accustomed to report writing and presenting, English C1 is mandatory. Chinese language skill is an advantage.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent planning and organizing skills, accustomed to meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
