**Job Description**:
**What's it all about?**

The Business Performance Senior Manager role is responsible for defining, together with the Head of BP and the executive team, the strategy for the South Europe cluster based on the overall Visa global strategy. The role is also consequently responsible for monitoring the execution of cluster strategy & derived business planning process, to ensure alignment of business activities across the organization to meet the medium and short-term objectives. To ensure implementation he/she also takes responsibility for tracking, reporting and operational excellence across all Sales processes.

**What we expect, day to day**:
**Cluster and Country strategies, strategic frameworks and targets**
- Ensure an external perspective including competition, trends and innovation. Build out tools and track the evolving needs of clients
- Provide strategic insight, grounded in data and facts, and structure to strategic projects.
- Strong support on the execution of cohesive, integrated cluster & country strategies to drive sustained revenue growth, client retention and enhance Visa industry leadership
- Strategy operationalization and implementation - transform strategy into actionable measures/projects and monitor implementation with related stakeholders.
- Support in the set of strategic frameworks and requirements to influence, align, adapt functional (i.e. product, marketing, merchant & acquiring services, etc.) strategies in support of regional business needs
- Build strong relationships with country teams to ensure engagement and traction on strategy setting and execution
- Align on cluster & market level performance targets with the Head of Business Performance

**Business Planning and Operations BPO**
- Accountable for defining, developing, and implementing business planning processes in collaboration with finance business partner, as per the guideline and timeline
- Assist the leadership teams across the organization to build their operational plans in line with the company strategic aims and leads into the budget process.
- Support performance tracking efforts mainly based on cluster and market level scorecard. Addresses requests and enquiries coming from hub and cluster management teams
- Deliver strategic business and investment planning and drive cross-functional alignment of regional market, client, and functional plans in collaboration with ‘central’ function heads
- Ensure a cohesive fact-base/understanding of the markets (research/insight/data) to influence decisions

**Sales Management /Commercial**
- Work with team to steer key projects, delivering the Business Case, Investment Ask and roadmap to success, then ongoing tracking of progress and operational excellence assurance
- High involvement in quarterly performance review process and other executive presentations, lead the development and execution of cross functional initiatives of strategic impact to the business (i.e. cross border, market acceleration, GTM initiatives), represent cluster in cross
- functional fora as appropriate
- Full utilization of CRM system (Dynamics) to develop a single source of truth

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

**Qualifications**:

- Demonstrable planning capability, market development or marketing role within payments industry, financial services, banking or retail sectors
- Excellent knowledge and experience of the card payments industry, local payments market and ecosystem with the capability to effectively liaise and motivate within a matrix organization
- Ability to identify business opportunities, problem solving skills and an excellent track record of implementing strategic frameworks and plans to deliver business targets
- Proven ability to drive cross-functional delivery of plans and initiatives with deep commercial acumen, negotiation skills and effective fact-
