**Job Description**:
Location: EMEA - Remote

What will you do?
- Drive sales development activities for Electron Microscopy products to EMEA sites in the Pharmaceutical industry as well as for Biotech companies.
- Collaborate with customers and sales partners to confirm system configurations, specifications and acceptance conditions are appropriate for closing orders.
- Represent Thermo Fisher Scientific Microscopy business at high level meetings and marketing events
- Develop and nurture relationships with Pharmaceutical and Biotech CryoEM leaders as well as with adopters to CryoEM
- Support the full sales cycle for Life Sciences workflow solutions, like Single Particle Analysis, Micro Electron Diffraction and potentially Cryo Tomography including making initial contact, providing technical expertise through sales presentations and demonstration
- Provide regular feedback/assessment of market requirements in the region to our business partners

How will you get here?

Education
- Master's degree in life sciences (Biochemistry) required / PhD preferred

Experience
- Experience in protein structure analysis by either NMR, X-ray crystallography or CryoEM wthin the Pharmaceutical industry or Biotech environment.
- Experience in drug development research and able to articulate the related value propositions for CryoEM in an effective way to prospective users of our workflows.
- Highly developed skills for customer interaction to gain access to new prospects and generate traction at various levels
- Outstanding written/oral communication skills, interpersonal skills and an ability to effectively interact at a senior level
- Proven ability to develop deep customer relationships and credibility to gain insight into customers’ requirements
- Ability to travel both domestically as well as internationally (up to 50%)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- 5 years’ experience in a relevant technical sales environment, specific experience in capital equipment sales, marketing or corresponding large-scale imaging or analysis equipment sales
