**Senior Business Development Manager - Solar PV**

**Location**:Spain

LSP Renewables have partnered with an international Solar PV market leader and top project developer to recruit a Senior Business Development Manager in Madrid, to originate and develop a project pipeline across new market countries in the EMEA region.

Our client are a very successful developer with more than 27GW in their pipeline globally and 1300MW under construction. They are active across EMEA, US, LATAM, and Asia with their projects and are growing significantly across Europe.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Originate project opportunities and develops a pipeline of solar PV projects across EMEA New Market countries (countries other than Spain, Italy, UK and core markets)
- Lead deal contractual negotiations, structuring and commercial relations with local co-developers for the origination of new projects pipeline, either at initial stages of development or at later stages
- Effectively and professionally manage relationships with external stakeholders, including development partners, public entities (state, regional and local), legal and technical advisors, etc.
- Drive progress on the projects by coordinating different work-streams with other internal departments
- Ensure economic viability of projects / pipeline opportunities
- Significantly contribute to the definition of the company strategy across EMEA’s New Markets and lead its execution across new geographies
- Keep himself/herself fully informed on key market developments and industry news/events in order to quickly identify business opportunities

**Requirements**:
Experience in the following areas:

- Greenfield Development - Deep understanding of ‘greenfield’ development process for solar PV power plants (including site control, securing interconnection, permitting process, etc.). Good knowledge of associated business development costs.
- PPAs - Solid understanding of public and private Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with off-takers. Fully understands the ‘bankability’ of a PPA.
- Project Finance - Solid understanding of corporate and structured finance concepts (_e.g._ IRR, WACC, leverage ratio, spread, tenor, DSCR, DSRA, EBITDA, FCF, NPV, etc.)
- Power Markets - Solid understanding of the European power market in terms of its rules, daily mechanics, key regulatory stakeholders, key players, etc.
- Solar PV Technology - Demonstrated deep knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) technology and costs (_e.g._ panels, BOS, EPC, O&M). Basic knowledge of ancillary technologies (_e.g._ batteries, T&D networks, hybrids, etc.) will be a plus.

**Additional Requirements**
- Degree educated in a relevant discipline.
- Team player.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Fluent in English. Any other European language would be an advantage.
