**Main Purpose of the role**:
The Corporate Director Food & Beverage (F&B)s main responsibility is to increase the overall profitability of F&B and to secure the smooth performance of the defined operating guidelines across EMEA hotels. The role will focus mainly on the Leased Hotel portfolio, securing always the plans and deliverables in that group of hotels, to then expand the best practices to the remaining Managed Hotel portfolio by introducing best practices.

**Major Areas of Responsibility**:
**Strategic Management**
- Developing and fine tuning the strategic vision for the role and drafting specific performance KPIs, whilst also identifying relevant internal and external stakeholders whose collaboration and input will need to be secured to enhance overall effectiveness and success of the function.
- Challenging the ‘status quo’ with a view to developing a broad and deep knowledge of all the Company’s current programs, policies and procedures (as well as technology programs/platforms) to provide specific, solution-orientated initiatives that address potential shortfalls and/or challenges.
- Developing, innovating, implementing and continuously reviewing the Company’s food and beverage strategy and tactics - including, but not limited to, divisional business plans, cost and revenue structures, operational Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technology programs and underlying third party agreements (e.g. suppliers, tenants et al.).
- Developing and implementing the function of business analytics, specific to the food and beverage department, and securing buy-in and support from relevant internal and external stakeholders across all geographies.
- Developing and establishing protocols for a streamlined and efficient reporting tool, allowing for the regular review and assessment of key findings of business analytics and the effectiveness of suggested action plans.
- Developing and establishing protocols to draft and implement specific action plans that speak to identified inefficiencies in the system or untapped revenue opportunities.
- Providing input, data, know-how and/or functional expertise if and when needed to regional and functional leaders, ensuring operational and financial business results are achieved.
- Continuously monitoring the external environment and competition within the greater hospitality industry, and beyond, to identify opportunities to strengthen the food and beverage strategy and enhance its overall competitive advantage.

**Leadership & Communication**
- Providing visionary leadership in keeping the Company’s food and beverage operations and division at the leading edge of the industry.
- Working collaboratively with the senior management team and regional leaders to establish, monitor, and ensure delivery on strategic goals that align with established objectives of the organization.
- Supporting the overall process of management and corporate decision-making to ensure the organization maximizes its short, medium and long-term goals as it relates to profitability and returns on investment.
- Fostering effective communications, accountability, and ownership; supporting an organizational culture that promotes initiative, appropriate risk-taking, learning, creativity, cooperation, equity, and mutual respect.
- Building rapport with geographical and functional leaders to understand business problems and analytical needs.

**Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**
- Business degree in finance or business management.
- Proven track record as a Business Leader and Subject Matter Expert within relevant fields within either the hospitality sector, the retail industry or other similar segments.
- Being an expert in Food & Beverage and strategy and/or operations as well as business analytics, innovative approach and financial planning are critical characteristics; prior operational leadership exposure is beneficial.
- Experience in cross-functional, interdisciplinary and multi-regional leadership roles and possess a track record in driving performance through operational insights and analytics.
- Proven experience in increasing profitability of fast food, (fast) casual, catering and/or other chain restaurant systems can be highly beneficial to this role; familiarity with third party operating agreements is equally valued.
- Experience in assessing performance, identifying inefficiencies and rolling out system-wide programs aimed at driving the bottom line.
- Fluency in English and at least one other, preferably European language.
- Strategic thinking and business minded whilst also being able to demonstrate a commitment to customer service.
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.
- Confidence in developing, or implementing, solutions which (most likely) require a comprehensive shift in operational practices and management thinking.
- ‘Can-do’ attitude, being proactive, innovative and forward thinking.
