**Regional Head of Operations - Care Delivery Spain**

Directs and grows Spanish dialysis business through effective leadership and management of all aspects of quality patient care and responsible for commercial and financial management. Practices cost containment strategies, maintaining profitability and growth while ensuring compliance with applicable company and regulatory. Develops short
- and a long-term business strategy for the country, transfers it into tactical plans, strategic initiatives, the annual business plan to meet business needs. Monitors the achievement and reports results to the General Management, develops corrective actions where necessary and assists the divisional management with the development, implementation and management of divisional and company initiatives and strategies.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Coordinates and drives local Business Development activities by monitoring of local market access relevant trends as well as reimbursement strategy and negotiations.
- Create an efficient and effective management, organizational and operational structure of the clinic organization and of the clinic network including personnel, material, pharma, infrastructure and patient services.
- Directs the dialysis operations providing leadership and guidance regarding quality patient care and financial management.
- Implements operational efficiency improvements which may include, but are not limited to, the standardization of systems, quality control, safety, site selection, facility design, and patient satisfaction.
- Interprets and implements company and divisional policies and procedures and directs and plans the activities of the assigned region to ensure continuing dialysis service program operations, to maximize returns on investments, and to increase productivity.
- Provides leadership, guidance and coaching for all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce. Ensures the provision of outstanding patient care whilst maintaining compliance with all applicable regulatory and company requirements and standards.
- Interacts with all levels of the organization to manage the business. Regularly interacts with executives and/or major customers. Has strong interaction with CD-I management.
- Continuously review existing FME business structures and develop required changes according to political, legal, geographical, environmental and economic circumstances.
- Supports activities to emphasize and reinforce growth by patient attraction and retention measures as well as development and advancement by ensuring customer-oriented and value-adding solutions.
- Develops short
- and a long-term business strategy for the Country transferred into tactical plans, strategic initiatives and the annual business plan to meet business needs.
- Monitors achievement and reports results to the General Management, developing corrective actions where necessary based on the relevant Balanced ScoreCard with Clinic Reviews and based on Clinical Operational Reviews.
- Challenges and approves budget, ensures transparency on cost structure.
- Supports all financial aspects of running the Works closely with appropriate departments to increase the payor mix and retain commercial patients. Ensures compliance with all local, state and national reimbursement practices, including government and commercial payors.
- Collaborates with pertinent CD-I management to develop and implement a regional marketing plan to support regional growth and profitability including facility start-ups.
- Oversees all logistics related to patient care from admission to discharge, including transient patients, in-centre, home, and inpatient dialysis services. Ensures the establishment of processes to enable timely completion of patient care plans and scheduling to maximize utilization of facility stations.
- Oversees the implementation of facility specific and regional quality goals and action plans to ensure compliance with all pertinent regulatory requirements and to achieve company quality standards.
- Significant organizational impact responsible for the overall control of planning, staffing, budgeting, expense priority management, and recommending and implementing changes to current Ensures that budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
- Accountable for driving staffing and medical supply models and all pertinent business initiatives, including prompt implementation of action plans to correct clinics below threshold performance.
- Develops strong relationships with physician practices and hospitals within the country/ies and facilitates the establishment of strong relationships between medical directors and physicians and Directors Operations.
- Establishes good partnership with patients and stakeholders in the health care sector.
