**About MicroEurope**:
MicroEurope is a social investment company dedicated to building a more equitable financial system and promoting financial inclusion in Europe. It was founded by a team of highly specialized industry practictioners with extensive knowledge of the local microfinance market and unique technical support capability.

We invest a mix of venture and growth capital and provide technical assistance to strenghten local financial intermediaries in their capacity to deliver long-term capital to micro and small enterprises and provide adequate access to affordable financial services to low-income households and marginalized communties excluded from the traditional banking system.

We are seeking an experienced investment professional to lead our investment strategy and drive our growth.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Identify and evaluate qualifying investment opportunities in line with strategic objectives and risk tolerance
- Structure, execute and exit private equity direct investments in inclusive financial services providers and fintech companies
- Oversee the management of investment portfolios, ensuring optimal asset allocation and diversification
- Monitor and management investment risks, implementing risk mitigation strategies as needed
- Ensure that monitoring procedures in place are compliant with funders, donors and investment needs
- Building and managing relationships with existing and potential investors, selectivily leading fundraising efforts
- Lead and mentor the Investment Team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
- Provide regular updates on the value of portfolio investments in accordance with the company's policies to the Investment Committee and Board of Directors
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies
- Stay updated on economic trends, market conditions and regulatory changes

**Desired Skills and Qualifications**
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics or a related field; MBA, CFA or CAIA designation preferred
- 10 years of experience in impact investing or development finance, with at least 5 years of experience in private equity direct investments
- Strong understanding of microfinance, impact and illiquid investment strategies and risk management principles
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative and results-oriented approach
- Fluent in English and a second European language, Spanish preferred
