The Institute of Chemical Research of Catalonia (ICIQ) is seeking a Postdoctoral Researcher.
This position will be funded by the project entitled _Design and construction of bio-inspired chromophore-protein assemblies for efficient and sustainable solar-energy conversion to charge-separation_ (SolarBioCharges), reference TED2021-132747A-I00.
ICIQ is looking for a Postdoctoral Researcher to work in the research group of Dr. Elisabet Romero to design and construct chromophore-protein assemblies with high charge separation efficiency.
**Responsibilities**
- Construct Chromophore-Protein Assemblies and investigate their static properties by Absorption, Fluorescence, Linear and Circular Dichroism, Stark, Raman, FTIR, and Fluorescence Line-Narrowing.
- Study the Chromophore-Protein Assemblies dynamic properties by time-resolved spectroscopic techniques: Two-Dimensional Electronic Spectroscopy (2DES), Transient Absorption, and Time-correlated Single Photon Counting (TCSPC).
- Synthesize and analyze the purity of the chromophore to construct the assemblies
**Requirements**:
- PhD in Chemistry or Physics.
- Expertise in (ultrafast) spectroscopic techniques.
- Proven excellent knowledge of English.
Positive attitude, open-mind, motivation to learn new methods and the ability to work in a team as well as individually.
**Valued qualities**
- MatLab and Python programming skills will be positively evaluated
**We offer**
- A temporary full-time position linked to the project SolarBioCharges (reference TED2021-132747A-I00) ending on 30/11/2024.
- Remuneration according to individual’s qualification/experience.
- Annual salary split in twelve monthly payments. Incorporation: from February 2024
