**Lab Production Chemist M/W**

**Your next role ?**

As a **Lab Production Chemist M/W**, you will directly report to our **Head of Fragrances Ingredients Productio**n and you will join our team in** Sant Celoni**. You will manage the daily activities of part of production laboratory technicians to oversee laboratory analysis and tests of the fragrance ingredient manufacturing processes providing homogeneous and reliable service to chemical production. You will ensure compliance with established company procedures and other accepted methods.

**In this exciting role you will**:
Function Management:

- Responsible for smooth running of the laboratory ensuring that all laboratory analyses and tests are carried out promptly and all machines and equipment operated, safely ;
- Schedule and monitor all the work to ensure that it follows quality procedures ;
- Participate in developing a budget for the laboratory and maintain control of lab costs ;
- Produce and conduct analysis of components, and finished products following the manufacturing plan. Analyse and interpret scientific data. Use specialized technical skills necessary ;
- Manage maintenance on lab equipment and facilities ensuring compliance with lab safety policies ;
- Resolve technical problems and ensure remedial actions are taken whenever test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications ;
- Increase work instructions, testing procedures, and reports to ensure clear and efficient communication of testing requirements and results for manufacturing operations. Implement improvement plans to maintain cost competitiveness.

People Management:

- Monitor staff (trainees) performance and maintain adequate documentation to effectively conduct reviews and provide ongoing feedback, addressing behaviour and job performance issues ;
- Train new workers in the organisation's operating procedures and standards.

**Your success profile includes**:

- Vocational diploma in lab chemistry, additional education in chemistry is an asset ;
- 3 to 5 years of experience in chemical production industry, manufacturing operations or related discipline ;
- 1 to 2 years of experience in people management ;
- Fluent in Spanish and good skills in English. Catalan is a serious asset ;
- Experience with Organic Chemistry ;
- Laboratory or QC techniques required ;
- Operational experience and affinity on laboratory system, analytical equipment and instruments such as weighing balance, Densitometer, Refractometer, Moisture balances, Karl Fischer titrator, Sieve testing equipment, GC ;
- Knowledge on chemical substances, hazardous material and related local regulations.
