**Market Access Manager**
Remote (Europe/EU) - preferably within proximity to international airport/train station
The Market Access Manager will be a key member of the Medical Affairs team, within the Clinical Sequencing Division (CSD) of Thermo Fisher Scientific’s Genetic Sciences Group. You will lead the development of Market Access strategy and guide its execution in target EU markets. You will work in close partnership with colleagues (sales, market development, product management, medical affairs) and clients to support growth of oncology assays through alignment with regulatory and reimbursement guidelines.
**What will you do?
You are going to lead CSD’s efforts to secure coverage and pricing success among key oncology assays and NGS technologies, within target nations. Responsibilities include both direct activities to secure coverage for IVD assays and orchestrating indirect efforts (e.g., publications, value dossiers, KOL development) in support of both IVD and LDT testing.
- Works closely with clinical prospects and customers to support their market access objectives, whether directly (CE-IVD) or via third party expertise
- Represents CSD in a variety of settings: conference presentations, industry coalitions, advocacy efforts, publications, sales presentations, and other public speaking opportunities (as required)
- Partners with CSD colleagues to ensure product launches, promotional materials, and customer-facing assets reflect our market access messages. This may involve working with KOLs and third-party experts to develop clinical utility and health economics and outcomes (HEOR) evidence.
- Provide guidance and insights to colleagues as landscape evolves due to changes in EU regulatory guidelines, national policies, and competitor offerings
- May contribute to other NGS testing initiatives (e.g., reproductive health, infectious disease) as needed
- EU travel up to 30%, periodic travels to US as the need arises
**Who are we looking for?**
- Education: B.S. in related industry, advanced degree helpful but not required
- Market access experience, preferably among diagnostics or oncology
- Experience with HTAs, tenders, decision making pathways in EU4 + United Kingdom
- Proven relationships with thought leaders and key decision makers in EU markets
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal); fluency in other European language(s) is preferable
- Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment; manage multiple deadlines; and process information quickly to inform decisions (when others may be less familiar with market access considerations)
- Familiarity with molecular testing; preferably among oncology
- Accountable, flexible, competitive, and passionate about learning
