**Job Purpose**
Senior executive with extensive experience across strategic communications disciplines with a strong background in media relations, content strategy and reputation management. Goal-oriented, team player and with excellent organizational skills, this person will report directly to the Chief Communications Officer and will be in charge of planning and implementing the external communications strategy of the company.
**Main Responsibilities - Tasks**
- Design and implement the communications strategy of the company and its transformation plan, while implementing effective communication strategies, based on data and deep understanding of external trends and key media narratives.
- Deliver effective communication messages across all types of media channels to bring Vueling’s brand image to life and make it relevant and engaging for the different target audiences.
- Manage and develop a team of goal-oriented people, while being capable of identifying talent. Strong coaching skills.
- Define ROI system to analyze impact of PR/communications activities on the global business strategy of the company.
- Encourage cross-functional collaboration, teamwork and information exchange across the organization. Work across functions and business lines to define key messages, identify stories and work on crisis management.
- Build top leadership profile plan to position the company’s spokespeople as strong players in top media and key events.
- Event planning and PR activation with out-of-the-box thinking and implementation.
- Budget control.

**Education**
- Bachelor degree in journalism, communications or marketing related fields. Master’s degree highly recommended.
**Experience**
- +10 years of experience in communications with a minimum of 3 years leading teams in an agency or corporate setting.
**Competencies**
- Strong strategic mind-set, able to provide advice that is aligned with the company goals, culture and organizational structures. Must have a hands on approach to ensure project implementation and delivery.
- Strong track record in developing content strategy and deploying multiple channels to build brand profile and market reputation.
- Ability to translate technical language to a broad cross-section of media and influencers.
- Excellent prioritizing skills and the ability to make judgement calls on where to add value.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex influence-based matrix structure, interfacing successfully with a wide range of teams, willing to engage with senior stakeholders, gaining buy-in for new approaches and ways of working.
- Resilient under pressure.
- Top writing skills.
- Strong knowledge of media relations and leveraging the company narrative.
**Languages**
- Bilingual spanish - english.
- Catalán.
**Other**
- Experience in company and/or agency setting with international exposure
- Experience in crisis communications.
- Prior experience leading external communications at a public company.
