**Job Purpose**

Create a Public Affairs strategy, relations with governments and stakeholders and a positioning strategy for Vueling, to be in the appropriate forums, and execute them, in accordance with some IAG guidelines but adapted to Vueling's strategy and coordinated with the rest of IAG companies with the aim of mapping all the actors and creating relationships with them to influence their decisions in those challenges that Vueling has and that the actors have Vueling on their radar.

**Main Accountabilities**
- Ensure that the challenges for Vueling are on the stakeholders' agenda.
- Influence the actors in their decisions in those challenges that Vueling has and that have Vueling on the radar.
- Ensuring that reputation among politicians achieves target levels.
- Mitigate the impact of crisis situations for Vueling.
- Make the department managed a better place to work.

**Main Responsibilities - Tasks**
- Identify, together with the Vueling Departments (Legal, Customer, Operations, etc.), the priorities and challenges for the company.
- Create the Public Affairs strategy, relations with governments and stakeholders and the positioning strategy for Vueling.
- Create stakeholder mapping and build and maintain relationships with them.
- Monitor what is being done at all political levels (municipal, regional, etc.) to achieve business objectives.
- Contribute to the growth of Vueling's reputation by monitoring the opinion of politicians about Vueling.
- Work with Communication in the creation of the appropriate narrative for each stakeholder with whom we work.
- Manage the crisis when necessary in communication with stakeholders.
- Support the company's sustainability strategy by hacienda lobbying.
- Organize and manage the team, promoting their development, teamwork and communication, between their collaborators and the rest of the Company.
- Perform any other responsibility or function that is assigned inherent to the job.

**Education**
- University Degree

**Experience**
- 6-7 years of experience in Corporate Affairs or Communication, Experience in
Consulting and both public or private company.

**Competencies**
- Strong strategic mind-set, able to provide advice that is aligned with the company goals, culture and organizational structures. Must have a hands on approach to ensure project implementation and delivery.
- Ability to translate technical language to a broad cross-section of media and influencers.
- Excellent prioritizing skills and the ability to make judgement calls on where to add value.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex influence-based matrix structure, interfacing successfully with a wide range of teams, willing to engage with senior stakeholders, gaining buy-in for new approaches and ways of working.
- Resilient under pressure.
- Top writing skills.
- Strong political agenda.
