The Facilities Manager will manage a wide range of service areas to a significant number of people and/or to significant assets e.g. a single large site of ~1000 employees. Will have a number of different project teams/external vendors to manage and will be required to influence across the organisation at many levels. Will be responsible for delivering implemented projects within the set time, budget, and quality

The role holder will be accountable for compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory obligations within a given scope and specialist area. Maintains effective strategic relationships with internal and external customers and supplier in own scope to ensure harmonised and optimised service delivery and effect. The role has responsibility for both people and budget. The role helps to ensure that quality and compliance standards, policies and procedures are adopted to all Site activities.

**Typical Accountabilities**
- Accountable for the delivery/maintaining and developing of facilities services through external supplier relationships in own scope to include projects of maintaining, scientific services, facilities services, and projects were appropriate defined by local site in line with the FM Operating Model
- Accountable for the delivery of maintaining, scientific services, facilities services projects/programmes/initiatives on time and on budget
- Coordinates activities of all site services (both inside Site Management and external)
- Proactively manages and monitors performance of diverse services delivered by FM within own scope and implements projects are in place to improve performance appropriately to meet agreed service levels
- Acts as a high profile, leading role model for matrix working across Facilities Management, other AstraZeneca functions and 3rd party suppliers to optimise and evolve service delivery by large, diverse delivery team
- Line managing the Site Facility team
- Partner with the rest of Site Management and other Site representatives to shape the Great Place to Work environment
- Actively Manages the relationship with key customers and portfolio managers across site
- Ensures effective emergency management processes are in place and be an active member of the Site Emergency Response/Incident Management Team and Business Continuity Teams
- Ensures effective physical security of the supervised offices
- Being proactive in continuous improvement of the site services, following, optimising, and creating new standards

**Requirements**:
Essential:

- Business degree
- Experience of managing projects/programmes or in a similar role
- Well developed organisational and interpersonal skills
- Experience of working with third party suppliers
- First-rate coordination, collaboration, organization and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to build strong relationships
- Ability to understand business strategy and goal
- Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholders management
- Communication and presenting skills
- Proven ability to work independently, and remotely, from key customers and stakeholders and with little direction.
