Regional Finance Officer (Maternity Cover)Location: Madrid, ESSynopsisThe Regional Finance Officer position based in Madrid focuses on providing financial reporting, compliance, and business partnering support to Etihad Airways' Europe region. This role is pivotal in ensuring all financial-related compliance matters are met and managing risks of penalty exposures from a compliance perspective. Furthermore, the role will require challenging the status quo and identifying opportunities for process improvements across financial operations from AP, AR, Revenue Accounting, and GL perspective.AccountabilitiesSupport the Manager to ensure all financial and tax compliance with financial regulations and company policies are fulfilled in a timely manner.Support the Manager in continually identifying and evaluating financial risks and opportunities in the region.Support in the annual budget cycle.Continually identify and drive process improvements with all departments by adopting technology.Provide financial guidance and advice to Department heads in the Region.Monitor and share financial performance against budget and provide commentary to explain any variances.Support the development of financial and operational KPI's.Participate in projects aimed at improving business processes and efficiencies.Participate in meetings and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels.Be familiar with applications such as SAP, advanced Excel, and Power BI to deliver results.Provide financial guidance and support to departmental Managers, helping them understand the impact of financial decisions.Education & ExperienceAt least 4+ years of post-graduation industry experience.Multilingual – English + Spanish or French speaking.Finance-related bachelor's degree as a minimum.Minimum of 2+ years of related experience in finance and tax within Europe is required.Experience working in SAP systems would be an advantage.A confident communicator across different stakeholder levels from managers to senior executives.#J-18808-Ljbffr
