The position involves developing software for handling different data structures and deploying data ingestion, cleaning, and preparation procedures.Key DutiesDevelop software for handling and processing different data structures, following a given database schema.Implement the data processing layer of a platform for urban digital twins.Implement tools to control and monitor all steps of operations.Deploy software and virtualize environments.Document all data preparation and processing steps to ensure traceability.Produce documentation of the code.RequirementsEducation: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering or equivalent.Essential Knowledge and Professional Experience:Expert knowledge of Python.Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent, or 1-year experience as a software engineer/developer.Experience on virtualization, communication, and storage platforms.Additional Knowledge and Professional Experience:Experience working with Apache Kafka, Spark.Expert knowledge of Java or C++.Experience with orchestrating software and Docker.Experience in workflow software.Interest in science, research, and engineering is a plus.Competences:Self-organization and problem-solving.Proactive, ability to take initiative and prioritize tasks.Ability to work independently.Good written and verbal communication skills.ConditionsThe position will be located at BSC within the CASE Department.Full-time contract (37.5h/week) with a good working environment and flexible hours.Open-ended contract due to project and budget duration.23 paid vacation days plus 24th and 31st of December.Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.Starting date: asap
