.Bodega Bravo Escós is a unique winery in the heart of the Priorat, Spain. On the slopes of the Priorat hills, decade old vines are producing various grapes like Carinyena, Grenacha and Macabeu. The winery produces high quality red wines and an award winning white wine.In 2019, a group of Dutch wine lovers (and investors) took a controlling stake in the Bodega. After a few years of optimizing the wine production and maintaining the fields, Bodega Bravo Escós is now ready to enter into its next phase: bringing the wine in a controlled manner to the market. For this challenging task, the investors seek the help of an International Sales & Marketing Director.Bodega Bravo Escós main focus is on the local, Spanish, market as well as on the Dutch market. Current sales are mainly through distributors. Although quite successful, the sales are too fragmented and don't contain a long-term sales outlook. Investors have decided to free up significant budget to grow to a more professional sales approach.As part of the Sales & Marketing strategy and action plan, following opportunities have been identified already:Online sales with a redesign of the website and a more engaging social media approachParticipating in wine events and fairs in The Netherlands and SpainDevelop a B&B and winetasting activity on the vineyardDevelop partnerships to create cross-sellingDevelop an effective distribution networkInternational Sales & Marketing Director Bodega Bravo Escós is looking for an International Sales & Marketing Director (SMD) who is able to increase the sales significantly in the next 3 years.The SMD is responsible for:Developing a Sales & Marketing strategy (including a social media) and translate this into a 3-year action plan with clear deliverables and KPI'sDeveloping and implementing a pricing strategyResponsible to achieve the sales targets based on the 3 year action planBe the winery's "face to the market"Optimize the (on-line) DistributionManage the B&B and winetasting activityBuilding a strong and motivated teamFinancial follow-up of all the revenues and costsInform and involve/engage stakeholdersThe SMD will report directly to the investors (one point of contact).Core Qualifications Wide range of experience and network in wine sales and distributionPassionate to sell fine winesDeep knowledge of various wines and characteristicsAbility to develop and implement effective marketing/sales strategiesAdept at developing and nurturing productive vendor relationshipsGood communications and reporting skillsHospitality attitudeHands-on mentalityOverall: a sales and marketing driven approachLanguages Depending on the market you operate in you should be speaking at least of the following languages additionally:Spanish/CatalanEnglishDutch (is an advantage)Experience Minimal 5 years of working experience in a similar position. Hands-on experience of working in or with a winery would be an advantage
