About the Role
As a Software Engineer within the R&D department, you will be developing Machine hardware projects to develop new machines.
Carrying out the automation design of a packaging machine.
Based on a standard software platform, developing customized software programs for the machine according to customer specifications (PLC, HMI interfaces & Safety).
Performing the commissioning and start-up process of the machine at the VOLPAK’s worksite.
Developing new software platforms and implement innovative motion and automation techniques according to customer requirements.
Designing testing methods.
Completing projects by training and guiding technicians. Contributing to the team effort by accomplishing technical, functional, and quality goals.
What You Need to Be SuccessfulDegree in Software, Automation or Electrical Engineering and at least 5 years of experience in industrial automation.
Very good knowledge of programming in C/C++.
Experience in motion control, configuration, programming and commissioning of servo drives, and CAM synchronization.
Knowledge on PLC programming language (OMRON SYSMAC, B&R, ROCKWELL LOGIX and/or SIEMENS SIMATIC & SIMOTION).
Knowledge of Office tools: MS Word, MS Excel.
Strong focus on innovation and software development.
Good command of English and Spanish. Optional Medical insurance supported 50% by the company.
