PharmEng Technology is seeking a Junior Business Development based in Madrid, Spain.

Job Overview

You will identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue, improve profitability, and help the business grow.

Your work can involve careful strategic planning and positioning in the appropriate markets, or enhancing the operation of the business, position or reputation in some way.

You may have a single role in the organisation or lead a team of staff. Your work will often reach across all areas of the business.

Functions

You will need to:

Research and identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, partnerships, products and services - or new ways of reaching existing marketsSeek out the appropriate contact in an organisationGenerate leads and cold call prospective customers (10:10:2)Meet with customers/clients face to face or virtually (Phone, Teams and Zoom Meeting, etc)Foster and develop relationships with potential and current customers/clientsUnderstand the needs of your customers and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how to meet theseHave a good understanding of the businesses' products or services, and be able to advise others about themEnsure staff are on board throughout the organisation, and understand the need for change and what is required of themDiscuss promotional strategy and activities with the marketing departmentLiaise with the finance team Seek ways of improving the way the business operatesAttend seminars, conferences, and events where appropriateKeep abreast of trends and changes in the business worldHelp to plan sales campaignsCreate a sales pipelineIncrease sales of the businessCarry out sales forecasts and analysis and present your findings to senior management/the board of directorsSupport Marketing & Communication Teams to assist with direction and activity of promotional initiatives as requiredContribute to the content and delivery of promotional literature as required

Qualifications & Skills

You will need to have:

EU citizenship mandatoryA Science University Degree with proofing track of Business Development in the science consulting industry Fluent Spanish and English are mandatoryProficiency in other European languages is a plusFresh graduates are welcome to applyBachelor ́s Degree in Business Administration, Life Sciences, Marketing, or a related filedA flexible approach to work with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, ever-changing environmentTenacity and drive to seek new business and meet or exceed targetsAn excellent telephone manner for making initial contact and for ongoing communication with customers and business associatesInterpersonal skills for building and developing relationships with clientsIT skills, including the use of spreadsheetsTeamworking skills and a collaborative approach to workProject management and organisational skillsNegotiating skillsThe ability to analyse sales figures and write reports
