Job Purpose:

As the strategic Business Development Manager, you will create and execute business strategies, define go to market plans and design tailored programs for key accounts. As the Business Development Manager specializing in cutting-edge domains like AI, IoT, Data Analytics, and Automation, you'll be entrusted with cultivating partnerships and expanding our specialist lines of business.

Responsibilities
  • Take ownership of key strategic accounts, navigating complexities and evolving variables to secure new business and optimize account potential.
  • Deepen customer loyalty and drive profitability through comprehensive mastery of our product/service offerings, seamlessly transitioning across different lines to deliver exceptional results.
  • Craft compelling value propositions tailored for high-level discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Translate vendor objectives into actionable business plans, driving impactful engagement within your designated technology domain.
  • Foster strong internal and external relationships, amplifying the presence and profile of our partners.
  • Lead negotiations on deals and rebates, offering strategic input into vendor market propositions and influencing purchasing, sales, and pricing policies.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Field Sales Engineers, to execute marketing plans and ensure seamless operational alignment.
  • Provide accurate forecasting and pipeline development while nurturing key channel relationships and engaging with customers and vendors at all levels.
  • Drive people management and development initiatives, where applicable, fostering a culture of continuous growth and excellence within the team.

Knowledge Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years working experience in the IT industry with channel and/or vendor at a business development level, ideally from a sales or product marketing background
  • Proven ability to excel in 'C'-level scenarios, persuading and influencing favorable outcomes.
  • High-energy individual with a proactive mindset, consistently exceeding expectations.
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, capable of forging strong connections and influencing decision-making processes at the senior executive level.
  • Demonstrated autonomy in defining and achieving individual, team, and company priorities.
  • Advanced knowledge of our business practices and recognized expertise in your designated technology area(s).
  • Confident decision-maker and skilled negotiator, with a track record of successful outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in additional languages considered a plus.
  • Ability to drive change and inspire others, with a keen focus on solution-selling and portfolio development.
  • Experience in strategic planning, business case development, and operating within a multinational, matrix environment.
  • Proven self-management capabilities in an external-facing role, coupled with strong business planning and operational acumen.
