Job Purpose:


Partners with the Spanish organization from a financial perspective on key aspects of the business such as monthly forecast reviews, gross margin analysis, marketing spending, financial analysis on new product introductions, financial planning, reporting and month-end closing in collaboration with the regional finance hub.


Has broad responsibility across multiple aspects of finance with end-to-end ownership on some of the key activities / processes with strong inter-connectivity with various commercial functions.

Manages effectively relationship with business service centres / Hubs to deliver together the financial planning, reporting and compliance objectives.

Business Partnering, Planning & Analysis

  • Participates in the monthly demand review management from Net Sales and Gross Profit forecasting perspective, ensuring transparent basis for business decisions through true and fair financial evaluation.
  • Supports the sales and NRM teams in relation to trade spend analysis.
  • Leads Gross Margin analysis and understanding in the forecast and the actuals in collaboration with finance hub planning & forecasting and close & control teams. Understands grosstonet and COGS drivers of the gross margin. Performs COGS comparisons.
  • Partners with marketing team on assigned brands on financial analysis for new product introductions and on any brandrelated financial analysis.
  • Supports the overall marketing spending forecasting and actuals process oversight.
  • Recommends and challenges activities to maximize business profitability on short/long term basis within the assigned areas of responsibility.
  • Coordinates the planning process for the quarterly financial forecast submission and owns assigned areas of P&L responsibility. Prepares needed offline templates, verifies correct submission in the planning systems by the planning & forecasting team in the Hub.
Management and Statutory Financial Reporting

  • Designs, enhances and delivers management reporting in collaboration with P&F and C&C teams, leveraging BU, capabilities and tools.
  • Conducts monthend closing activities (monthly, quarterly and annual) together with BU, C&C and P&F teams as per assigned areas of responsibility. Analyses differences between the results and the original budget and vs. last year, in sales, cost of goods, expenses, etc.
  • Provides support to Heads of Department on the forecast and control of overheads costs, including warehousing and distribution and A&P. Acting as a link between local Finance team and Centralized Finance Hub.
  • Effectively collaborates with P&F & C&C teams to deliver on the financial and compliance objectives for the market.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related specialty.
  • Financial acumen and agility to learning.
  • High level of.
  • Strong communicator, influencer and ability to effectively work across departments and with remote counterparts.
  • Ability to work effectively in Matrix organization structure.
  • Agility to learn business skills and develop independent commercial judgement.
  • High level of resilience under pressure.
