Job Purpose:

To provide business insights to the Commercial Business Units in preparation of business goals, strategies and tactics.

Key responsiblilties:

  • Act as a data and analytical consultant across all other departments including: CoE, Sales, Marketing, Commercial Decision Support, Data Management, Finance, Forecasting and other partners.
  • Support Commercial and Finance stakeholders on the establishment & development of mediumlongrange strategic plans by:
  • Identifying internal and external strategic issues and opportunities.
  • Ability to interpret business questions and consult with primary stakeholders.
  • Developing strategic recommendations to optimize revenues and profitability and secure adequate resourcing.
  • Ability to work with multiple data sources and identify the most efficient and accurate response to business needs.
  • Ability to design analytical responses to business questions and manage projects to their completion/delivery.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of value added standard and custom analysis to Commercial and Finance stakeholders, including insights, conclusions and recommendations as appropriate.
  • Influence, implement and embed relevant global market research, data, analytics and priority projects in line with local business needs.
  • Hold suppliers to account to ensure they are working with GSK to deliver high quality, relevant data; ensure the Spain Commercial business are using the data to its maximum potential
  • Ability to design analytical responses to business questions and manage projects to their completion/delivery.
  • Ability to suggest Sales Force Incentive Schemes by:

  • Support for the strategic planning process (i.e. Consensus forecasting, EAS process, Budget, Profit Updates, Incentive schemes, Resource allocation, etc.).
  • Supports multiple brands and therapy areas
  • Ensure the highest ethics and governance is embedded within the team processes, ensuring standards are met such as compliance with GDPR legal regulations, GSK SOPs and BHBIA/ABPI guidance.

Specialised Knowledge:

  • Advanced Degree (Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, Engineering)
  • Turning data into business insights: Data manipulation: Collect, parse, manage, analyze and visualize sets of data (Experience / proficiency in Excel or other data analytics tools/languages(R/Python/PowerBI))
  • Statistical methods knowledge

  • Experience in commercial analysis (marketing research, sales/marketing analysis, forecasting)
  • Knowledge of key commercial analytical functions (e.g. forecasting, sales analysis, commercial development support, competitive intelligence).
