This Qlik Platform Engineer & Service Manager role ensures the high availability and ongoing optimization of our mission critical QlikView and Qlik Sense platforms for a large user base.

You will implement proactive monitoring, lead platform governance, and spearhead valuable extension implementations and software upgrades.

Your expertise will also streamline service management through automation and ensure efficient processing of QlikView and Qlik Sense service requests.

Additionally, you will collaborate on Qlik BI & Analytics development projects to improve data accessibility and user insights.

Your main tasks and responsibilities:

  • Being part of the Sulzer Group IT BI & Analytics team and the hero behind the scenes, keeping our BI & Analytics environment running smoothly and ensuring a positive user experience by efficiently addressing their service requests.
  • Ensure high availability and stability for our mission critical QlikView and Qlik Sense platforms (more than 2'000 users) by implementing proactive performance monitoring and optimization strategies. This includes identifying and resolving bottlenecks, optimizing application and load tasks, and streamlining of maintenance procedures.
  • Establish a comprehensive platform governance framework for our Qlik environment, ensuring adherence to security and compliance standards while fostering continuous improvement through regular reviews and updates.
  • Lead the internal coordination and successful execution of Qlik software upgrades and the integration of valuable platform extensions. Collaborating effectively with both in-house BI & Analytics consultants and external specialists to ensure minimal disruption and a smooth transition.
  • Hands-on processing of service requests related to the QlikView and Qlik Sense platforms in ServiceNow. This includes incident handling, general request, and user access request management. Independent processing of the ServiceNow tickets or in collaboration with the inhouse BI & Analytics consultants (40% of work activity).
  • Increase the efficiency of QlikView and Qlik Sense service management in ServiceNow through the definition and implementation of process automation solutions in collaboration with the ServiceNow team.
  • Demonstrate strong leadership by delivering successful small to medium-sized Qlik BI & Analytics application developments, including enhancements to existing QlikView and Qlik Sense applications. Collaborate closely with internal BI & Analytics consultants on projects to improve data accessibility and user insights.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business studies or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum - 5 years of relevant professional experience in QlikView and Qlik Sense for administration, optimization, and development.

Qlik Expertise:
Proficient in both QlikView and Qlik Sense for administration. Qlik Sense System Administrator Certification is an advantage.

Platform Governance:

Ability to establish and maintain a framework for security, compliance, and continuous improvement of the Qlik environment (QlikView, Qlik Sense, NPrinting, TrueChart, R and others).


Upgrade & Integration Management:
Experience leading Qlik software upgrades and integrating platform extensions.

ServiceNow:
Familiarity with ServiceNow for ticketing, incident handling, and process automation.

  • Fluency in English is a must
