The Position

As a Senior SME Collaboration & Productivity Platforms, you will be working in the Site Experience & Digital Workplace Chapter which is part of the Roche Informatics Organization.

You will drive operational excellence and provide business guidance to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of IT Shared Services to affiliates across all divisions, business units and locations.

This role requires significant interaction with Business Subject Matter Experts, Business Partners, senior business leaders, and/or various other internal stakeholders both locally and globally to understand stakeholder needs, optimize operations, align and harmonize system requirements, act as a problem-solver and drive required change management effectively.

Responsibilities

As a day to day responsibilities

the candidate will:

- Connecting technology with Roche business needs.

- Collaborate with the owners of different services to provide technical assessment in the implementation of new functionalities.

- Participate in strategic discussions to evaluate the technical viability of different solutions. Participating in strategic guidance on the selection, implementation, and optimization of collaboration platforms.

- Pro-active procedures improvement in service support for previously identified and assessed delivered services.

- Collaborate with stakeholders: Work effectively with clients, internal teams, and vendors to ensure project success. Partner with IT and other departments to ensure seamless integration of collaboration platforms with existing systems.

- Providing technical consultancy to consumers and projects including mergers & acquisitions.

- Be the 3rd level support to our Managed Service Provider for incidents and requests.

- Understand client needs and objectives: Analyze business challenges and translate them into technical solutions.

- Provide expert advice and recommendations: Identify the most suitable technology solutions based on industry trends, cost-effectiveness, and client needs.

- Document solutions and processes: Create clear and concise documentation to guide future use and maintenance.

- Stay up-to-date with technology advancements: Continuously learn and keep abreast of emerging technologies and trends.

Tasks include:

- Change Management in Production Environments.

- Testing new implementations in Pre-Production Environments.

- Applying continuous improvement to internal processes.

- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities to improve in the collaboration technology space within the organization.

- Business Critical incidents and requests management.

- Monitor and analyze the ticket quality of our Managed Service Provider.

- Collaboration regularly with Product Owners, Product Managers, Service Owners and IT Security.

- Ensure ITSM framework, tools and Standard Procedures are implemented, used and supported.

- Support the roll-out coordination tasks for new systems, problem escalation and new projects involvement.

- Out of business hours work is eventually required to perform system maintenance in production environments and in case there is a service disruption.

- On-Call support overnights and weekends is required when appropriate.

Experience and

Technical Skills

5+ Years experience and in-depth knowledge of at least two of the following technology bundles:

In-depth knowledge of popular collaboration platforms:

- Google Workspace Administration Skills (Google Core, Mail, Calendar, Drive, Chat, Spaces, Meet, Editors)

- Microsoft (Office 365, Sharepoint online, Teams)

- Experience in Email Transport through Secure Email Gateways (Fortimail, ProofPoint, Fast path)

- Standard email protocols (SMTP, IMAP, POP, etc).

- Networking basics (TCP/IP, DNS, etc).

Additional technical knowledge required:

- Strong hands-on technical skills, operational background, and working experience with infrastructure technologies and business applications.

- Experience in designing and providing solutions aligned with standards, security, validation, capacity and high availability to fulfill complex business needs while identifying associated risks.

The following skills and experience are a plus:

- Knowledge in ServiceNow or another ITSM solution.

- Experience in Scripting against API with languages like: Python, javascript, or Powershell

- MS Exchange will be a plus

- Cloud Fax & SMS Services will be a plus

The following certifications will have to be obtained during the first six months in the position:

- Google Workspace Administrator

- Fortimail Fundamentals
