We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering a first class service to our customers and demonstrate great team leadership , based in Blandford, Dorset DT11 7TE.

This role offers you a unique opportunity to drive and influence positive change across our South West depot. We are looking for someone with a Minimum of 5yrs+ experience in Service/Operational management.

Someone who strives to create a positive can do environment and can lead by example, as our Operations Manager for the South West, you will run and lead the day-to-day operations and facilities at Stacatruc South West.

You will work closely with our Group Operations Manager, Service Operations Manager and our Eastern Operations Manager to ensure the smooth day to day running across the group.

You will be responsible for managing and motivating the operational team in your area to ensure commercial targets are met in line with the companies aspirations whilst embracing and leading the team to achieve pre-agreed standards with regards to Health and Safety, Quality, Cost control, Service delivery, and people metrics to help support all the business processes.

As the leader of this business unit, you will ensure your team is well-directed and that you will lead them effectively through regular communication, training, and development.

Understanding our customers to help enable us to deliver a bespoke delivery of service to cater for their needs whilst ensuring that we achieve the required commercial returns.

You will meet budgeted targets and expectations, with the overall responsibility for the people and always ensuring that we strive towards operational excellence, improved productivity, and develop process management to help achieve continual improvements across the group.

Here's what you’ll do:

⚙️ Ensuring that Service standards are exceeded and maintain those standards. Building strong working relationships with customers, suppliers, and staff.

⚙️ Lead by example in areas of customer service. Implement and develop strategies to help the team attract and retain customers.

⚙️ Routinely monitoring and managing the completion and effectiveness of our compliance activities in line with the policies, procedures and control plans set out by the business.

⚙️Liaising with the operations managers to ensure service priorities are delivered.

⚙️Developing and managing the people plan to create an adaptive and pro-active team, promoting clear and effective communications at all levels where business priorities are understood.

⚙️ Full responsibility for fiscal performance with P & L financial understanding to enable group oversight.

⚙️You'll support the management teams in the day to day running of operations and lead across the group.

⚙️ Recognise the significance of seizing and nurturing all related aftermarket possibilities.

⚙️ The ability to focus on both customers and employees, whilst engaging at various levels of the business.

⚙️ To be able to stay aligned to the strategic plan and report to the board. Determining your teams and customer needs through a consultative approach when interacting with all involved parties.

⚙️Handle resources effectively, uphold high levels of quality assurance, and capitalize on all revenue opportunities to meet KPI performance targets.

⚙️ Actively help your team to promote products and services through upselling techniques. To recognise and develop staff to enhance their skills and capabilities.

⚙️ Recruiting, motivating, engaging, and developing employees to maintain an effective workplace capable of meeting its objectives and a strong positive culture in line with our company values.

⚙️ Product knowledge & Industry led commercial awareness.

⚙️ Competency with use of Microsoft & data systems – Protean would be desirable.

⚙️ Candidates with experience as Operations Manager within a Material Handling / plant / equipment hire, M&E Engineering contracting, or transport / logistics background would be preferred, however, candidates with the relevant Operations Manager experience from any background will be considered.

⚙️ Leadership experience and managing direct reports. A forward thinking approach.

⚙️ Reviving poor business and operational performance.

⚙️ Change management and the process of change management.

⚙️ Coaching and Development.

⚙️  ISO Accreditation and experience in successful implementation.

⚙️ Hold a valid permit to work in the UK.
