Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) Analyst (AI Training)
About The Role
We're looking for experienced GRC professionals to help train and evaluate cutting-edge AI systems. At Alignerr, we partner with the world's leading AI research labs — and we need practitioners who understand how security policies, compliance programs, audits, and risk management actually work inside real organizations. Your expertise won't just sit on a resume. It will directly shape how AI reasons about compliance, risk, and security — making a lasting impact on the next generation of AI systems. Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
Review and analyze security policies, controls, and procedures for accuracy and completeness Classify and evaluate real-world compliance scenarios across frameworks like SOC 2, ISO 27001, and NIST Assess risk statements, control mappings, and audit-style documentation Generate and validate high-quality training and evaluation data for AI systems Apply your professional judgment to identify nuanced gaps, misclassifications, and edge cases Who You Are 2+ years of hands-on experience in GRC, compliance, or risk management Solid familiarity with one or more frameworks: SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, PCI-DSS, or similar Comfortable reading, interpreting, and critiquing policy and audit-style documentation Detail-oriented with precise, well-structured written reasoning Self-motivated and able to work independently on asynchronous tasks Nice to Have Prior experience with data annotation, data quality review, or AI evaluation workflows Background in information security, internal audit, or enterprise risk management Experience writing or reviewing security control narratives or risk assessments Why Join Us Work directly on frontier AI systems alongside top research labs Fully remote and flexible — work on your own schedule Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration Contribute to meaningful work that shapes how AI understands security and compliance Potential for ongoing work and contract extension
