About the role
We are looking for a Senior Performance Test Engineer to join the Performance Test Services team, supporting internal clients in the implementation of performance testing and synthetic monitoring solutions. You will act as a technical expert and trusted advisor, helping ensure that applications and services meet requirements around performance, scalability, stability and availability. You will work closely with development teams, architects, product owners and operations specialists, designing, implementing, executing and analysing performance tests and monitoring solutions. 🎯 Main responsibilities ⚡ Performance Testing & Engineering 🔹 Design, develop and execute performance and load tests for business-critical applications and services. 🔹 Analyse performance bottlenecks across applications, APIs, infrastructure and integrations. 🔹 Identify root causes and provide performance optimization recommendations. 🔹 Create clear and actionable performance test reports, translating technical findings into relevant insights for stakeholders. 📊 Synthetic Monitoring & Observability 🔹 Design, implement and maintain synthetic monitoring solutions to proactively assess application availability and user experience. 🔹 Work with monitoring and observability platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus and Dynatrace. 🔹 Apply modern observability concepts, including OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing and end-to-end performance analysis. 🛠️ Automation & CI/CD 🔹 Develop and maintain performance and synthetic monitoring solutions using Playwright and Grafana k6. 🔹 Review and assess test and monitoring code written in Java, JavaScript and TypeScript. 🔹 Develop and maintain CI/CD workflows using Bitbucket, Jenkins, GitLab or comparable platforms. 🔹 Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation frameworks, test environments, methodologies and best practices. 🤝 Technical Advisory 🔹 Act as a trusted technical advisor to internal stakeholders. 🔹 Support teams in defining and implementing performance testing and monitoring strategies. 🔹 Collaborate with development, architecture, product and operations teams throughout the software delivery lifecycle. 🔹 Ensure test solutions are high-quality, stable, maintainable and aligned with enterprise standards. 👤 What are we looking for? ✔ Several years of experience in Performance Testing, Test Automation, Performance Engineering or Software Engineering. ✔ Proven experience designing, implementing and executing performance and load tests in complex enterprise environments. ✔ Strong hands-on experience with Playwright using Java and/or TypeScript. ✔ Strong hands-on experience with Grafana k6 using JavaScript. ✔ Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution, particularly with Bitbucket, Jenkins and/or GitLab. ✔ Strong understanding of performance testing methodologies, performance metrics and monitoring practices. ✔ Solid understanding of system architectures, APIs, networking concepts and cloud-native applications. ✔ Experience with Azure and Kubernetes is highly valued. ✔ Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, Dynatrace or comparable observability platforms. ✔ Knowledge of OpenTelemetry, distributed tracing and end-to-end performance analysis is a plus. ✔ Experience with Exense Step for test execution is a plus. ✔ Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a structured approach to root-cause analysis. ✔ Ability to communicate performance results, risks and recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders. ✔ Experience in banking or financial services is an advantage. ✔ Bachelor's, Master's or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical discipline. ✔ Fluent English. ⭐ Technology stack 🔹 Performance Testing & Load Testing 🔹 Playwright 🔹 Grafana k6 🔹 Java 🔹 JavaScript / TypeScript 🔹 CI/CD 🔹 Bitbucket / Jenkins / GitLab 🔹 Grafana 🔹 Prometheus 🔹 Dynatrace 🔹 OpenTelemetry 🔹 Distributed Tracing 🔹 Azure 🔹 Kubernetes 🔹 Exense Step 🌍 What do
