Overview

In this role you will advance safe electronic control functions across e-powertrain, chassis, and related systems, aligning with ISO 26262 standards. You will collaborate within AVL's software team to model, review, and validate functional safety concepts, coordinating tasks and documenting safety work products. You'll engage in risk assessments and safety analyses, representing functional safety and cybersecurity to customers. The position offers international exposure and the opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge mobility technologies.

Responsabilidades Support development of safe critical electronic control functions (e-powertrain, chassis, power electronics, HV-Battery, ADAS) per ISO 26262
Coordinate customer requirements and support concepts implementation up to production
Support model-based development: optimize and review functional models, including test and validation strategy
Plan, coordinate, and supervise tasks within the functional safety process
Document functional safety work products
Conduct risk assessments and safety analyses (HARA, FMEA, FTA) according to standards
Represent functional safety and cybersecurity in AVL and to customers
Support development of new technologies and approaches

Requisitos principales Degree in mechanical/ electrical engineering, mechatronics, vehicle technology, physics, computer science or similar
Interest in mobility development, functional safety or automotive cybersecurity and automated driving technologies
Basic experience in control engineering and model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink, SysML or similar)
Familiar with automotive development processes and functional safety standards (ISO 26262, IEC 61508 or similar)
Flexible, proactive, structured, and detail-oriented work style
Strong communication and team-working skills
Proficient in English and Spanish; German is a plus
