Country Operations Manager – Spain

Ferokill is an established European pest control group with strong operations in Belgium. We are now setting up a new operation in Spain, starting from zero, with full backing from our Belgian headquarters.We are looking for one senior, hands-on professional to execute this setup locally. This is not a partnership and not an equity role. It is a paid, full-time operational role for someone who is comfortable building an operation step by step, with structure, budget and support in place.This role is designed as a long-term build-out over multiple years.Role realityThis role starts with no existing branch, no local team and no customers. The responsibility is to make the Spanish operation operational, compliant and commercially active.You will be the first operational hire in Spain and will work in close coordination with the Belgian team.What you will actually do • Set up the Spanish operation from scratch, starting in Madrid • Handle local regulatory, licensing and compliance requirements for pest control activities • Find, recruit and onboard the first technician • Search for and secure a small office with limited storage space • Establish relationships with local suppliers and service partners • Personally acquire the first customers and manage early client relationships • Work hands-on with the first technician to service initial customers, in order to fully understand and implement Ferokill's operational standards • Coordinate daily with the Belgian headquarters (operations, planning, reporting) • Oversee day-to-day operations until the local team grows • Ensure quality, safety and compliance standards are followed from day oneThis is a hands-on execution role. In the initial phase, you will personally drive sales, operations and compliance. Once sufficient customer volume is reached, additional roles (technician, later a first salesperson) can be added.What this role is not • Not a corporate desk job • Not a purely strategic or supervisory roleWhat we offer • A well-funded greenfield setup backed by an experienced European group • Proven processes, systems and operational know-how from Belgium • Full administrative, financial and operational support from headquarters • A long-term, stable role with clear structure and expectations • Competitive compensation, above market level for the right profile • Performance-based bonuses linked to clearly defined milestones (e.g. setup completion, first hires, first customers, operational stability) • All setup costs, tools, systems and initial investments are fully covered by the companyWhat we expect from you • Solid experience in pest control (control de plagas) or a comparable operational service business • Strong understanding of local regulations and operational requirements • A genuinely hands-on working mentality • Willingness to personally sell to and service the first customers together with the initial technician • Ability to work independently and make progress without a large team • Comfortable combining operational, commercial and coordination responsibilities • Structured, reliable and stress-resistant • Fluent in Spanish; working knowledge of English for communication with BelgiumThis role requires maturity, discipline and execution power.
