Operations at Alan

Our Operations team guarantees the delivery at scale of our insurance and health services. On a day-to-day basis, this means running, building and industrializing processes to deliver the vision and contributing to our strategy.

As we anchor our position in France and Belgium and expand our platforms abroad, our operations are becoming very complex and our challenges ahead have never been more exciting

Joining Alan's operations is joining a team of 60+ talented, committed and passionate experts interacting daily with Engineering, Product, Care and many other teams.

The Operations Builder role

The Ops Builder core responsibilities are to build and strengthen our operational capabilities and scale our platform efficiently to handle fast growth, cost optimisation and product diversification.

To that end, we are looking for talents with a track record in scaling operations or ability to learn fast and a great entrepreneurial mindset.

You are an expert focusing on:

• Launching and iterating on new services made to scale fast

• Pushing for automation and efficiency gain of our processes

• Setting up monitoring for a granular understanding of our processes

• Identifying risks and areas of improvement

• Improving the overall financial efficiency of our model

You are a leader able to:

• Bring the Ops vision in the Company roadmap

• Navigate through the different teams to make things happen

• Coach more junior colleagues

• Contribute to team development (hiring, structuring, etc.)

Examples of previous Ops missions in Spain:

• Building an automated AI based concierge service - member shares some constraints in app, we ensure we can programmatically call clinics to book an appointment matching their requirements

• Building automations to ensure we order our member cards in a batch way to reduce our costs while ensuring a delightful continuous delivery

• Handling tactical and strategical discussions with our current third-party administrators

If you have some of the following, you may be a great fit

• You have at least 3 years of professional experience in Operations management or entrepreneurship

• You are fully fluent in both English and Spanish

• You have a high level of structure and strong analytical skills (including Sql fluency for data analysis)

• You are capable of building automations (Zapier, n8n…)

• You excel at launching and steering projects by setting the high level vision and monitoring the day to day progress

• You are strong at optimizing processes while never compromising with members' delight

• You are comfortable in fast-paced environments: you know how to deal with uncertainty, remaining proactive and focused on efficiency

• You love to collaborate with transversal teams, not afraid to be hands-on nor to challenge past decisions.

For this role, you need to be based out of France, Belgium or Spain.

The target level on our grid is C0-D.
