Wood is recruiting for a Mechanical Discipline Manager  to join its Power &Industrial,  Steam Generation System (Boilers) business, global leader in the delivery of project, engineering, equipment and technical services to the energy and industrial markets.

Responsibilities
  • Drives  and  assures contract specifications, applicable codes and company procedures are fulfilled.
  • Prepares, verifies and/or approves main technical data sheets , specifications, calculations and drawings. 
  • Ensures the successful completion of the section's assigned deliverables in accordance with contract requirements, within the project or proposal's budgeted time and cost constraints
  • Responsible for managing and developing section resources and ensuring governance of engineering practices and procedures
  • Regularly report on project progress and any additional needs to the Head of Engineering 
  • Manage the utilization of engineering resources to minimize non-productive time and manage overhead budget. 
  • Closely operates with all other disciplines to improve the project execution performance in line with project needs

Expected:

  • Industrial Engineering or equivalent 
  • More than 15 years relevant experience in Power Plant Projects 
  • Excellent command of Spanish and English languages
  • Good organization, written and oral skills.
  • Problem-Solving
  • Leadership: The ability to guide and inspire the team towards achieving their goals.
  • Knowledge of American and International Standards and Codes.
  • Knowledge of PV Elite 
  • Knowledge Caesar II
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD /AVEVA E3D
  • Advanced user of MS Office specially EXCEL 

  • Holding a valid permit to live and work in Spain is required.
